The Children's Community Head Start Birth-to-Five Program is a federally funded comprehensive early childhood educational program serving income eligible families in 13 school districts in central Suffolk County, NY. The Children’s Community Head Start is a program of Community Program Centers of Long Island, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
Head Start works for children and families.

The Children’s Community Head Start Birth-to Five Program serves low-income families residing in the following school districts: Comsewogue, Middle Country, Miller Place, Mt. Sinai, Port Jefferson, Rocky Point, Sachem, Sayville, Shoreham-Wading River, Three Village and parts of Connetquot, Longwood and Smithtown.
These school districts include the following towns and villages: Bohemia, Centereach, parts of Coram, East Setauket, parts of Farmingville, Holbrook, Holtsville, Lake Grove, Lake Ronkonkoma, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Nesconset, Old Field, Port Jefferson, Pt. Jefferson Station, parts of Ridge, Rocky Point, Ronkonkoma, parts of Sayville, Selden, Setauket, Shoreham, Smithtown, Sound Beach, Stony Brook, Wading River, and West Sayville.
